Year in Review 2014

Where has the time gone? This site has become a forgotten memory with Alice taking all of my free time. So much yet happened last year that i can barely remember anything. I’ll try to search through the endless pictures of Alice to give a brief synopsis of the year.

Best Movie

guardiansmain

Guardians of the Galaxy

Easily my favorite movie of the year, and one of the few that i actually got to see in theaters. It just had the right amount of action, comedy and drama you want from a summer blockbuster movie.

Runners Up: X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Lego Movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Worst Movie of the Year: Transformers: Age of Extinction, I couldn’t even sit through the entire movie, or understood what the point of anything that was going on in that movie.

Best TV Show

season-5

The Walking Dead (Season 5, Part 1)

I’m so happy that the show has moved on from the such deep story lines of people you didn’t care about and returned to a much quicker pace, zombie focused show. They kept the suspense that anyone can still die, and have given the show a sense of purpose rather than having them just hold up in a safe house just trying to live a normal life.

Runners Up: Game of Thrones (Season 4)

Worst TV Series: How I Met Your Mother (Season 9), I know its hard to end a TV Series well, but this series just didn’t fit in to the style of all the other seasons, and the ending was just so so. It seemed like they just tried to tie up all the loose ends as quickly as possible.

 Best Podcast

Good Job, Brain! is a free weekly clean* audio podcast that’s part quiz show & part offbeat news. It’s the ultimate nutrition for your brain. So eat up!

Runners Up: MouseChat Disney PodcastJalen and Jacoby Grantland Podcast

Best Meal

Providence

This was one of most fancy dinners we’ve ever had, and one of the most surprising. Lost of unique flavors and techniques that i’ve only seen on TV. Read the full experience here.

Best Trip

monterey

Really the only trip we took this year was up the Coast to Monterey.
