After the Covid break, the dads were able to get together with the entire crew to go back to Portland to do some more eating and white water rafting.
First stop after landing was getting some Pho.
Then we drove into Washington to check into our House Boat? House on the river?
For dinner we headed into downtown to eat at M.E.C. (Mediterranean Exploration Company) where i had probably my favorite meal of the year. We had the Family Style Tasting Menu. which seemed to have an endless stream of food, and each dish was delicious and memorable.
The next morning we woke up at the crack of dawn for our 2 hour drive to the river. It was rainy and cold, but we persevered and suited up with a wetsuit, fleece, splash jacked and life vest.
Everyone survived, but the trip down the river wasn’t as memorable compared to the first time without the waterfall drop.
We celebrated our day at Lechon a Brazilian themed restaurant which was fine.
We explored the rest of downtown and had to get a picture in front of the Keep Portland Weird sign again.
Sunday we took it easy, doing some shopping at Costco, grabbing lunch at Hat Yai, and enjoying some of the local brewers around town.
Monday we packed up, grabbed breakfast at Pine State Biscuits before heading to the airport.
